GEEK HOUSECALLS® Announces Reaching Milestone of Over 10,000 Customers

Geek Housecalls celebrates growth milestone with prize package of one-year free service and Odyssey Cruise for ten awarded to ten-thousandth customer, also issues $250,000 worth of discount coupons to existing customers.

BURLINGTON, MA (PRWEB) June 7, 2006 –- Geek Housecalls, Inc. the New England region’s original traveling geeks announces that it has achieved a major growth milestone with the servicing of its ten-thousandth customer. “We just wrapped up our books for 2005,” reported Geek Housecalls President Dave Ehlke, “and you can imagine our excitement at realizing we had broken through the 10,000 customer mark in December!”
“We’ve been waiting for this,” stated Vice President Andy Trask, “and we’re kicking off the celebration by sending out $250,000 worth of discount coupons to our customers as a way of thanking them for their loyalty to Geek Housecalls.”

At the center of the story, Geek Housecalls congratulates Erica Flynn of Bedford, Massachusetts for her key role. It was her cry for help in the early morning hours of December 27th to Geek Housecalls’ 1-877-4PC-GEEK hotline that set the stage for a late afternoon visit by local Geek Housecalls geek Charlie Hoover. “She was having problems with Outlook and couldn’t install Napster,” says Charlie, “she was also having problems with a firewall that was behaving badly and keeping her from getting set up with a remote VPN connection into her office.” Charlie went to Erica’s house and promptly resolved all of her issues. Neither of them, at the time, realized the significance of that call.

Once the year-end wrap-up was complete however, Andy and Dave, the co-founders of Geek Housecalls, made a surprise telephone call to Erica to let her know of her special status. Reaching her on her cell phone, she was delighted by the news. And of course, Andy and Dave were curious to know about her experience with Geek Housecalls… “The service was great, “she replied. “The response was quick when I called and it was great to have someone actually come into my home to do the work because I sat with him and he was able to explain everything I asked about. He really knew his stuff- fixed my issues quickly and even took care of some other things for me. I was impressed with the cost; it was less than I had expected, and my computer has been running much faster ever since Geek Housecalls came.”

While congratulating Erica for her unique role in the company’s history, Andy and Dave also awarded her a gift letter for a full year of in-home computer service from Geek Housecalls at no charge, and an Odyssey cruise of Boston Harbor for herself and nine friends.

About Geek Housecalls:
Geek Housecalls’ friendly, professional computer geeks are dispatched right out of their own neighborhoods, so they can respond quickly to cries for help, and so customers can be comfortable that they are working with someone local that really understands them. Geek Housecalls was started in 2001, rescuing home computer users and small businesses and since then has expanded to cover all of the continental United States through their “Not Just ANY Geek” service program, at the same time, winning rave reviews from their 10,000+ local New England customers. Besides fixing computer problems such as the “usual” spyware, viruses, and odd errors and glitches, the traveling geeks from Geek Housecalls also help with installations, provide upgrades, install wired and wireless networks, and offer one-on-one tutoring to help users get more from their computer and high-tech gadgets. In addition, Geek Officecalls, a member of the Geek Housecalls family, delivers a complete array of business-oriented services to the company’s 1,000+ small business customers.

Like old-fashioned doctors who came to you when you were sick, the geeks from Geek Housecalls come to your home, home office or small business, so you get to know them as they work. And although our geeks know their technology, they also specialize in friendliness, so don’t be surprised if they greet you with a smile and a handshake at your front door, say “Hi” to the kids, and pat the dog.

Geek Housecalls - not to be confused with Best Buy or Best Buy’s Geek Squad.
