The DPPstore Welcomes the Arrival of a New eBook Thriller

Author Jerry Countess’ latest book is available at the DPPstore, www.dppstore.com, where independent books and independent readers meet.

Palm Springs, CA (PRWEB) June 7, 2006 -- DPPpress (www.dpppress.com) and DigitalPulp Publishing (www.digitalpulppublishing.com), a year-old ePublishing company, are continuing to grow their online bookstore.

The DPPstore opened its doors this past January and won’t be closing anytime soon. Store hours are 24/7/365 and new authors, independent publishers, and small presses are contracting with DPP daily, creating an eBookstore that offers an eclectic array of literary offerings.

One of the most current offerings in the DPPstore is The Waiting Game, by Jerry Countess, published by Jaysea Publishing, 2006.

Alex Beaumont, a recently retired soldier of fortune, is hired to persuade Marguerite and her mother, the duchess Eugenie Midignard, to sell their decaying chateau in the mountains above the Riviera. Developers want to use the land as a site for a new hi-tech city, and the French D.O.T. wants to run a major new road across her property. A neighboring landowner, a pretty young woman, tries to seduce Alex, but he resists because he realizes he is in love with Marguerite. When the duchess won’t sell her land, the deputy director of the D.O.T. sends in a band of men to burn down the chateau. Alex defeats the thugs and takes them prisoner. He forces the arsonist to reveal he was hired by the D.O.T. In a confrontation with the head of the D.O.T., Alex turns the tables on him and gets them to give back the mortgage on the chateau to the duchess.

“This is a great read,” says CEO Genene Miller Coté. “And it’s wonderful to enjoy a fun piece of fiction by Jerry (Countess), after reading his beautiful memoir, Letters from the Battlefield.”

Letters from the Battlefield is also available in the Dppstore. Countess enlisted in the Army in 1942, receiving the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman’s Badge and six stars on his EAME campaign medal before his discharge in 1945. His memoir gives an up close and personal account of his time overseas through letters home.

The DPPstore offers eBooks from first-time authors to well-established experts. There is definitely something for everyone. Titles that were once only available in traditional print, and eBook titles that once upon a time were not as readily accessible, are now available through DPPPRESS (www.dpppress.com) at the DPPstore.

The store offers some free titles with prices ranging through $47.00, and a rewards program is available for frequent buyers. Purchasing and downloading books is as safe and easy as ordering from the bigger online bookstores.

The DPPstore (www.dppstore.com), a division of DigitalPulp Publishing (www.digitalpulppublishing.com), offers the best in eBooks from new authors and independent presses. Our eBooks are downloadable on an assortment of readers. The DPPstore – reinventing reading.
