The new TB-Monitor System-BladeTM delivers high-performance Mmonitoring and filtering, making it easy for service providers to capture, analyze and record SS7 and HDLC traffic.

TelcoBridges Inc. announced today that its high-capacity Monitoring solution on a Blade™ is now available. Called the TB-Monitor System-Blade™, it delivers high-performance SS7 and HDLC link monitoring and filtering to make it easy for system integrators, OEMs and/or their service provider customers to capture, filter and record live network traffic. One of the primary uses of this product is to collect signaling information that can be analyzed to improve the operating performance of the network being monitored to increase end-user satisfaction.

“The TB-Monitor System-Blade™ is a natural extension of our current product line,” said Gaetan Campeau, President, Founder and EVP, Worldwide Sales, TelcoBridges. “Our customers needed an easy to use solution that would enable them to instantly capture all live SS7 and HDLC traffic on large operator networks, and to filter specific traffic as required. TelcoBridges’ high-density solution overcomes performance limitations of currently available products by guaranteeing 100% packet capture, in addition to perfect sequential packet ordering for very large E1/T1 interface monitoring.”

The TB-Monitor System-Blade™ is equipped with 64 E1/T1 input ports for the non-intrusive monitoring of network traffic. Each System-Blade™ is equipped with 256 HDLC controllers that can be applied in sub-rate or super-rate configurations to any timeslot of any E1/T1 link for the detection and capture of live SS7 messages or any HDLC-like protocol. The TB-Monitor provides the flexibility to probe links on wireline and wireless networks -- packet-based traffic on SS7, A, A-bis, Gb, ISDN PRI, V5.1, or V5.2 links is easily detected and captured by a single blade.

The TB-Monitor System-Blade™ also offers filtering options to identify and capture specific, sought-after traffic. The filtering option can be activated for any, or all, HDLC controllers and applied to any part of the captured packets. For example, by capturing only the frames with a specific destination point code. The TB-Monitor filtering options provide complete flexibility in the creation of coarse, or very selective filters.

Stephane Potvin, CTO, TelcoBridges added: “What is particularly useful to system integrators, and to their service provider clients, is that TelcoBridges’ monitoring solution is designed to scale without limits. The solution can consist of a single TB-Monitor System-Blade; or there can be as many blades as are needed, housed in a single location, or in as many locations as are required to accomplish the task at hand. The TB-Monitor System-Blades™ capture the HDLC frames, timestamp them and forward them to the application server via a message-based API.”

System integrators, therefore, gain a significant advantage in the marketplace. Through the use of this innovative product, they are able to create their own application(s), using the TB-Monitor System-Blade™, in order to display, filter, analyze (online or off-line), or record the captured data. The high-performance, scalability and flexibility of this remarkable TB System-Blade™ enables them to deliver to their customers, optimum, valued-added systems. These high capacity systems are capable of quality of service monitoring, optimizing wireless networks, welcoming roaming wireless subscribers, and many other applications that are limited only by the needs and wants of the operator-client.

“Our system-integrator customers asked for a product that was high-capacity, non-intrusive, non-blocking and easy to integrate into a network. TelcoBridges has created its monitoring solution to fulfill these needs, and to provide a superior network monitoring solution,” concluded Campeau.
