Nearly half of all Internet users and 48% of all privately-owned businesses are 50% or more woman-owned -- yet, nearly all the Internet marketing gurus are men. The newly launched web site is about to change this.

Women are starting businesses more than any other market segment. The Internet is an ideal place to begin offering the opportunities for freedom, flexibility, and the quality of life that many women are seeking. Additionally, it’s the perfect avenue for starting a home-based business.

Experienced business women rely upon the Internet as well. The Women’s Business Council reported on March 17, 2004 that women with businesses of at least one million dollars in revenue are more likely than men to rely on the Internet and e-commerce to grow their businesses.

Women market and manage their businesses differently than men. Research has shown that successful women focus on building relationships, are more likely to request and rely upon support, and place personal values above business practices. Family, balance, community, and quality of life are driving values.

“It’s about time that women on the Internet had someone to turn to who shares their values. pulls from the very best advice the men have to offer and combines it with breakthrough strategies just for women,” says Bill Browning, Marketing Director for the Internet Rich Girl.

Browning is often asked two questions: What is he doing working at Internet Rich Girl and who is she? He responds, “The first question is easy. I have a boss that is smart, savvy, and has an eye for talent. I was the best person for the job and it’s great working with her.”

He goes on, “I can’t tell you who she is at this time because she prefers to remain anonymous. I can tell you that she’s successful, well-respected, and doesn’t want that to influence what she’s accomplishing on the Internet.”

The Internet Rich Girl is a little campy, purposely snubbing what she calls “The Internet Millionaire Boys Club” that touts fast cars, boats, and airplanes. Her message to women is, “You don’t have to be rich or famous to start an Internet business. You can be wildly successful, live the life you want, and do lots of good with it.”

The site offers Internet marketing tips and business and Internet strategies. A comprehensive home study course combined with online support is in the works, with an announcement of a seminar series featuring many of the top Woman Internet Entrepreneurs coming later this summer.
