Peter Idusogie: former democratic Congressional Candidate in the 2004 election will be announcing on Wednesday on the Steps of the State Capitol in Minnesota that he will be joining the race for the U.S. Senate. Peter believes that decisions made in the corridors of power in Washington should be guided by two strong pillars: Righteousness and Justice. He believes that life is about other people and "when we lift all people, we lift up America." "Every one of us is born with a gift; we need leaders that will strive to bring out the best in people rather than divide them."

Idusogie began his career as an Environmental and political activist in 1989 and later joined Corporate America in 1994 working with Enterprise-Rent-A-Car. He will rise quickly within the hierarchy to run their largest branch: the Airport operations in Minnesota. After a successful five year stint with Enterprise, Peter became one of the first black professionals to join the prestigious executive search firm, Hayden and Associates as a corporate recruiter Hayden will be purchased by TMP Worldwide Inc; parent owners of, the largest internet career portal. TMP will separate their internet operations from their recruiting practice to create a separate company: Hudson Global Resources. Peter will later leave in the fall of 2005 to become an Independent Consultant In February, Peter let it be known on Inside Minnesota Politics: the first political Pod Cast in Minnesota, of which he was the host for almost a year, he will be pursuing the race for U.S Senate to replace Mark Dayton.

Peter is an evangelist at heart, a powerful and passionate speaker, one who pleasantly surprised many follower of politics in his race for Congress. Idusogie, pronounced E-du-so-gee, is known for stirring the hearts and minds of people. He advocated a bold and dynamic approach to achieve accountability and integrity in government; he developed a non partisan approach to run for public office by stressing unity and focusing on ideas and solutions versus finger pointing and blame game; called for fiscal financial discipline and a balanced budget as well as sweeping changes in our defense policy to reflect the new threat in our midst. While he was the host of Inside Minnesota Politics, the Pioneer Press will list IMP as one of the most balanced pod cast out there on the internet

Peter who is reborn has disdain for partisan politics and bickering and cherishes his relationship with both democrats and republicans alike. His website demonstrates his determination to stand out as a unique candidate who is more interested in providing real solutions that will have a positive impact in the lives of people. He is running this time as an independent candidate outside all political parties including the independent party. The former congressional candidate says he needs the demonstrable flexibility to speak the truth with unshakable resolve without having to subscribe to any political party’s doctrine that may be anathema or incongruous to the values of mainstream Minnesota. Peter is determined to use his faith to fight for righteousness and justice. He will call for greater integration between the rural economies with the rest of the country and economic justice in the inner city. In 2004, Peter declared that Jesus is not a republican or democrat even though he rode a donkey to Jerusalem. In early 2003, Peter rightly predicted that Iran and not Iraq was the clear and present danger to the United States and felt that Saddam had been contained using the no fly zone and an air corridor NATO had established over Iraq to protect the Kurdish minority and thus was less of a threat than Iran. On the other hand Peter believes that unilateral pullout without real peace will be a mistake we cannot afford to make nor will bashing Bush bring us even an inch closer to a resolution and lasting peace.. He is an avid reader of foreign policy and understands how the U.S trade pacts with various continental groups are affecting Americans at the local level. Although not independently wealthy, Peter reminds everyone who would listen that it was David that killed Goliath and not his brothers who were bigger and more physically fit.
