Bangalore, India (PRWEB) June 8, 2006 -- Zudha, a Bangalore, India based company, places on record that it has received a communication from Altnet Inc inviting the company to license the “Data Distribution Patents” as Altnet claims that “certain Peer-to-Peer Software Applications" offered by Zudha use the technology claimed in “Data Distribution Patents” (US Patent Nos. 5978791, 6415280 and 6928442)
According Zudha's founder CTO, Rajesh H Acharya, the company has a couple of offerings in the Open Domain among which one is a P2P messaging software, ZIM-Pro and the other, a very ambitious Business Platform, Samooha-S, that would enable the small enterprises across the world to overcome the entry barrier to adopt Enterprise Information Infrastructure through a very unique approach in Enterprise Software Delivery. Altnet is yet to respond to specifics requested by Zudha as on date of this release.
Zudha is a fair practice IT Company with a business focus of nurturing grassroots IT innovation in India and other emerging nations in ASEAN and China. Zudha's innovative offering is originally conceived through a vigorous enterprise application research supported by iterative development cycles since Zudha's inception and Rajesh's exposure to the core developer community of a Java based Open Source P2P technology since April 2001.
Zudha believes that Altnet might have mistaken its offerings to be routine File Sharing Networks like Kazaa from Sharman Networks, Ltd who have sub-licensed Altnet Patents according to the communication from Altnet to Zudha. Altnet patents, when interpreted, mostly resemble to File Sharing, Search and File Retrieval in a massive network which is not the case in Zudha's Offerings and especially Samooha does not have any such features.
As Zudha believes in cooperation than competition as the prime mover of this millenium, the company is therefore committed to make all efforts to examine Altnet's claims and take appropriate steps in the interest of all stake holders in this Patent issue, for the benefits of Small Enterprise IT which is the prime motive of Zudha's offering Samooha that leverages Peer-to-Peer communication channels for inter-enterprise communication which is similar to a LAN communication or a client-server communication except that it happens on a one-to-one basis depending on user's preference.
Zudha is preparing Samooha to be launched as a separate venture with HQ in Singapore and a regional center in the USA, tentatively in Portland, Oregon, by virtue of being an Open Source Business Components offering. The US presence would also help the venture to work together with Altnet to understand the patent issues as required by the local law in the US to arrive at an amicable settlement while enabling to patent its own innovation made available in Samooha, if appropriate, based on the public disclosure of its own innovation.
