SAFEHOME Rolls Out Emotionally-Chilling TV Commercial; Award-Winning Design Firm Picks Up $100,000 Production Tab For Shelter
DXD, a motion graphics, animation and video production company, produces $100,000 TV commercial for domestic violence shelter free of charge. The emotionally-packed spot is available at http://www.d-x-d.com/press/SafeHome.html.
Mission, KS (PRWEB) June 9, 2006 -- It might take Kansas Citians a few minutes to digest SAFEHOME’S new, emotionally-packed TV commercial, starting the week of June 12. A preview is available at http://www.d-x-d.com/press/SafeHome.html.
The painfully-chilling spot, produced by Dimension X Design (DXD), a Mission-based, multi-dimensional design company, has the look and feel of something straight out of Hollywood; except there’s nothing fictitious about this storyline.
Amy Randolph, SAFEHOME’s Public Relations Coordinator, said they were shocked when the production company said they would pick up the $100,000 tab for the domestic violence shelter’s commercial, plus throw in an extravagant graphics package. “Working with DXD has been an amazing experience; they are incredibly kind, generous and talented,” said Randolph. “Our executive staff viewed the commercial for the first time this week, and everyone was completely and utterly speechless. It is so painfully powerful, compelling and true that it’s difficult not to tear-up after seeing it.”
The piece unfolds with the SAFEHOME butterfly taking viewers to the suburbs, through a keyhole, and into a child’s bedroom, where a mother is reading the story of the Three Little Pigs to her daughter. The piece, produced in black and white, captures the drama and trauma of the family’s past, while the mother retells their story through the tale of the big bad wolf.
Sean Hopkins, DXD President, said they were ecstatic about the opportunity to use their creativity and resources to produce a commercial for the women and children’s shelter. “When you have the talent and the ability to help out an organization like SAFEHOME, you just do it,” said Hopkins. “We took this project just as seriously as we would have any of our other clients, and we hope it will send an educational message that calls Kansas Citians to action.”
In 2005, SAFEHOME helped nearly 5,000 area women and children.
