Colora, MD (PRWEB) June 9, 2006
In honor and recognition of Flag Day, which will be celebrated nationally on June 14th, Operation Band Together, the mission behind the U.S. Christian Flag, is encouraging American Christians to unify and display the national colors. Marcia Eldreth, the artist behind the U.S. Christian Flag reminds Americans that “Our national flag must be lifted up in honor of this day.” Further she has stated that “The U.S. Christian Flag is a complement to Old Glory and was never intended to attempt to replace or subvert the meaning and resounding authority demonstrated by our national colors.” She further added that “The U.S. Christian Flag was inspired by a heartfelt calling to recognize the great Christians who dedicated this land for the propagation of the Gospel and for current Christians to stand-up and openly declare their faith in Jesus Christ, their love for this country and its Christian foundation.”
When flying the U.S. Christian flag along with our national colors Americans are reminded that the U.S. national colors are always flown above the U.S. Christian flag. A question that is commonly raised stems from a confusion relating to the question "Shouldn't the U.S. Christian flag, representing a faith in the Lord, be flown above a National flag representing a country?" In answer to this Ms. Eldreth states "The Christian heritage is the foundation of America, thus this flag is flown under Old Glory to represent our Christian foundation."
