WebSource CPQ advanced document generation capability increases account management productivity at Careerbuilder.com.

Webcom, Inc., a leader in simplified quote-to-order enablement for the selling of complex products and services, is pleased to announce that Careerbuilder.com has implemented the Webcom WebSource CPQ solution to simplify the account review process. Careerbuilder.com is the nation’s largest online job site with more than 20 million unique visitors and over 1 million jobs. Owned by Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE:GCI), Tribune Company (NYSE:TRB), and Knight Ridder, Inc. (NYSE:KRI), the company offers a vast online and print network to help job seekers connect with employers.

Careerbuilder.com was faced with the challenge of simplifying and speeding the process of preparing account review documents for use with their customers. “The team, driven by the core value of 'Easy to Do Business With,' treated this situation with a positive, "can do" attitude,” stated Michael Hargis, vice president of customer care at Careerbuilder. “When faced with this challenge, the team responded constructively, deploying WebSource CPQ in a most innovative way, thinking out-of-the-box and delivering a solution that exceeded expectations,” added Hargis.

WebSource CPQ, through its industry-leading configuration engine, advanced document generation capabilities and standards-based integration technology, has been used to generate almost one thousand account review documents over the last several weeks. A Careerbuilder account manager, who once logged a request to have such a document manually prepared, now answers a set of questions designed to prepare a customer-specific layout for a personalized account review document, in an on-demand way utilizing the SaaS (software-as-a-service) deployment model. The process includes point-and-click guidelines to assist the novice user. The user then uploads account-specific usage and statistics to prepare a personalized account review including recommendations on how to better utilize the Careerbuilder products and services.

“We have cut the cycle time for account review document preparation in half,” stated Natalie Cekan, project manager at Careerbuilder. “We are looking forward to phase two of the project, where WebSource CPQ will pull the account-specific usage and statistics directly from our back-office systems, making the account review document generation process even simpler,” added Cekan.

“Having won awards for product innovation, we are always excited to work with out-of-the-box thinkers to tackle challenging problems in innovative ways,” said Aleks Ivanovic, Webcom CEO and founder. “We are excited for the success Careerbuilder has realized to date and look forward to expanding the use of WebSource CPQ within the organization,” added Ivanovic.
