Ryma Technology Solutions and Pittsburgh Product Strategy Network announce alliance for advancing product roadmapping capabilities.

Ryma Technology Solutions Inc., the leading provider of product management solutions for the software industry, and the Pittsburgh Product Strategy Network (PSN), the largest regional membership organization for practitioners of product strategy management for technology companies, announced an alliance today that will promote the exchange of practices and processes for product roadmapping used by product strategy management professionals. The alliance will support the integration of these practices and processes into FeaturePlan, Ryma’s product management software used by leading companies around the world, enabling product management to easily develop comprehensive product roadmaps based on the real-world market data collected and organized in FeaturePlan. The two organizations will also present a multi-city tour of training workshops and product management tools to deliver enhanced strategies, proven practices and viable processes for product roadmapping.

Through this alliance, Ryma Technology Solutions will jointly host the Pittsburgh PSN industry-leading Product Roadmapping Training Workshop, a full-day seminar that addresses the PSN Symphony™ method of product roadmapping. The Symphony method offers a systematic approach to achieve feasible product roadmaps that align product, technology and market plans with business objectives, gain buy-in from key stakeholders, improve communication and understanding, and save time in making informed decisions that affect the product’s future. Ryma Technology Solutions will highlight FeaturePlan’s product roadmapping capabilities to demonstrate how it integrates seamlessly with Symphony’s product management roadmapping best practices.

“FeaturePlan’s product roadmapping function allows our customers to communicate, share strategies and get company-wide collaboration for their products much faster than ever before,” said Russell Foy, VP Sales and Marketing at Ryma Technology Solutions. “The PSN Symphony methodology and FeaturePlan will integrate into one another seamlessly, so there was a very natural connection to work with the PSN in this way. Their body of experience on the practice of product roadmapping and product strategy is second-to-none. They are truly leaders in the field, and we are very excited to get this alliance underway with our joint workshops.”

“The Pittsburgh Product Strategy Network's unique focus has always been on improving the product roadmapping capabilities of product-development companies,” said Jim Berardone, President of the Pittsburgh Product Strategy Network. “It wasn’t until we met the team at Ryma that we encountered a software tool – FeaturePlan - that provided such a good fit with our popular Symphony methodology. FeaturePlan’s data collection and management is a key element in successful product roadmapping, and coupled with the Symphony methodology, provides a great fit and excellent value to product strategy professionals implementing product roadmapping best practices in their organization.”

The multi-city tour will commence in September. Both Ryma and the PSN will be at the Software Marketing Perspectives Conference (http://www.smpevent.com) on June 13-14 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in California, sharing more details of this alliance with the product management community.
