PaperStreet Launches New Blog for Martha C. Adams

Martha C. Adams launches her new blog with the help of PaperStreet Web Design. Martha is currently running for Orange County Judge.

(PRWEB) June 11, 2006 -- Martha C. Adams, originally from North Carolina, came to Florida in 1988 to attend Rollins College. Martha stayed in Orlando after earning her Bachelors Degree and worked for different organizations, such as Florida Citrus Sports and The Schenck Group. While working on her Masters Degree in Elementary Education and substitute teaching, Martha decided to attend law school. Martha attended Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. During her third year of law school she completed the criminal law clinic at the Office of the State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, serving Orange and Osceola Counties. It was from this experience that she was offered a position of Assistant State Attorney upon graduation from law school.

While as an ASA, Martha prosecuted crimes ranging from misdemeanors and traffic to crimes serious enough to warrant life in prison. She spent approximately 4 years in county court as a trial attorney, the majority of that time was as a specialized prosecutor in DUI and Domestic Violence and prosecuted some significant, high profile cases. She also made charging decisions on hundreds of cases while working in the Intake Division of the State Attorney’s office. Martha also took part in numerous Mental Health hearings.

Martha has taught at the law enforcement academy at Valencia Community College as well as specialized training classes for Orange County Sheriff’s Deputies and other police agencies. She has participated in the Teen Court program as a Judge and been a Guardian Ad Litem. She is currently a member of the Florida Bar’s Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee.
