London, UK (PRWEB) June 12, 2006
Mydeo.com, the UK video streaming company, is delighted to have been shortlisted for the regional finals of the HSBC Start-Up Stars awards, a national business event supported by Sky News.
The awards, which are also backed by the Daily Express, are in recognition of original thinking and sound business practise in companies that have been trading for less than three years.
Mydeo allows users to upload and globally stream videos to friends, family or potential customers without surrendering their ownership rights, or exposing their personal footage to the vast gaze of the internet community.
This chance to compete for the Start-up Stars award is the latest success for Mydeo, who have recently also been named as a ‘Start-up to watch’ by Real Business magazine.
Co-founder and Managing Director Cary Marsh says, ‘Setting up a new business is a huge challenge, and once you’ve launched a successful company it’s great to have that effort recognised. We’re delighted to be through to the next stage of these awards’.
The awards will take place at The Savoy Hotel, London, on October, 17.
