Nashua, NH (PRWEB) June 12, 2006
DiagnosisONE., a leader in clinical decision support and intelligent connectivity announced today that it has joined the CollaboraCare Consortium, LLC.Established in 2005 by MEDecision, the CollaboraCare Consortium is a group of vendors with a common mission to provide a more cost-efficient and timely method to build a national health information exchange. Consortium members currently are providing services or submitting proposals to approximately six RHIOs.
“Adding the right vendors to the Consortium is key to our ability to get patient data exchanges up and running in months, not years, at the cost of hundreds of thousands of dollars, not millions,” said John Capobianco, president and chief marketing officer of MEDecision. “DiagnosisONE’s corporate culture and products fit well with our team’s speed-to-value, packaged solutions approach.”
“We are excited to join this group of leaders in healthcare technology. This has opened new opportunities for DiagnosisONE to provide its clinical decision support and public and population health tools. DiagnosisONE is the only company today that offers a natural language rules engine as well as a robust repository of clinically relevant evidence based rules that can improve care.” said Fauzia M. Khan MD, FCAP, chief medical officer of DiagnosisONE.
Acting similar to a general contractor, the Consortium’s collaboration of software products and services is designed to quickly and incrementally deploy patient data exchange between payers and care providers, reducing both the cost of, and time needed for, exchange deployment. The Consortium’s approach limits the exposure of newly emerging RHIOs to time-intensive vendor solicitation and facilitates the ability to tailor specific data exchange system proposals to the unique needs of each interested RHIO.
Drawn from all over the United States, the CollaboraCare Consortium’s members include CapMed, Covisint, DiagnosisONE, DrFirst, Extended Care Network, Gold Standard, HealthTrio, HxTechnologies, iMetrikus, IntelliCare, Medem, RPR Solutions, SureScripts and Wellogic.
DiagnosisONE, based in Nashua, NH, develops and markets Intelligent Connectivity Solutions.
