ABC Radio Networks in collaboration with Write Up the Road Publishing is launching a fresh new concept in radio journalism: "Thinking Out Loud with Tim Brady." This news commentary will be aired on Open Road Café, Sirius Road Dog Radio, Channel 147.
Kenton, TN (PRWEB) June 12, 2006 -- Get together a trucker, a well-respected radio broadcast organization and a truckers’ satellite radio channel, and you’ve got the hottest item on the airwaves, a trucking industry commentary, “Thinking Out Loud with Tim Brady.”
Brady, a veteran trucker, published author, columnist and workshop instructor, who’s also Sirius Radio’s “Trucker’s Business Advisor,” on Open Road Café every week, will be driving home mini-think pieces throughout the workweek.
Just the kind of talk radio truckers love to argue with.
Brady’s concept, done in creative collaboration with George Spanos, Executive Producer of ABC Radio Network’s Satellite Radio Programming, is that of taking some of the trucking news stories of the day and examining them from slightly different angles. Then he adds his own touch to the story by asking questions. Lots of them. Questions that just beg those truckers and other Sirius Satellite Radio listeners to start conversing with their radios while cruising the highways and Interstates of America.
“I’m not trying to start arguments,” Brady said in a brief interview. “What I want to do is present some other sides of the story, and get people thinking. Until you get your audience thinking and participating, solutions are going to come from the same people who’ve been trying to fix the problems all along. And sometimes they don’t have a fresh view of things. Our truckers and listeners do. And they’re more than willing to tell people about their views and opinions, we’re just priming the pump.”
You can hear this fresh new concept in radio journalism by tuning in to Open Road Café, Sirius Road Dog Radio, Channel 147, 6 am to 10 am Eastern. “Thinking Out Loud with Tim Brady” will air twice daily Monday through Friday during Open Road Café.
