Rima E. Laibow, MD, noted health freedom advocate was recognized by the Open International University for Complementary Medicines -USA with a Distinguished Award of Excellence for "having contributed significantly towards a Global Movement for the integration of all medicines and for the continued service to humanity." Dr. Laibow devotes full time to ensuring global access to natural medicine which is under significant attack by regulatory strategies and by Codex Alimentarius.
Dr. Laibow and her husband, Major General Albert N. Stubblebine (US Army, Ret) have taken a global strategy aimed at protecting populations from the excesses of Codex ALIMENTARIUS. Codex governs international trade of food "from farm to fork" and urges member nations to adopt its standards and guidelines as domestic law, claiming that they are "Science Based" despite the fact that they are based on commercial or "junk science. Because they serve the interests of Big Pharma, Big Biotechna, Big Agribiz, Big Chema and Big Medica, but not that of the consumer.
Backed by the World Trade Association’s capacity to impose trade sanctions for offending countries, Codex has the capacity to harm and kill vast numbers of people planet wide and thus holds the capacity to do vast harm to the population of the planet. Dr. Laibow, who has a long and distinguished career as a pioneering clinician in private practice without the use of pharmaceuticals, became aware of Codex Alimentarius approximately 10 years ago and grew concerned that the global food standard setting body would restrict and eventually eliminate access to clean unadulterated food and to high potency nutrients. Her private medical practice, ANS: A Natural Solution attracted a world-wide clientele because her natural low tech and high-tech treatments were highly successful, drawing people who were faced with intractable and cataclysmic illness. These treatments, and health in general, rest on access to unadulterated food and high nutrient density dietary supplements, both of which were being restricted and undermined, forbidden and demonized by the US government, the UN's food standard setting body, Codex Alimentarius and an orchestrated "poison press" about these safe, effective and inexpensive treatments. In addition, physicians all over the country are under significant attacks from their Medical Boards because of the collective economic threat they present to pharmaceutical medicine.
Putting the picture together, Dr. Laibow and her husband, Major General Albert N. Stubblebine III (US Army, Ret.) decided 18 months ago that the lack of a strong strategic hand in the health freedom battle was likely to cost the health freedom advocates the war since they were loosing so many of the crucial battles. In order to provide that hand, they decided to close their practice and work full time to protect and expand the options for natural health which are available around the world. The created the Natural Solutions Foundation, http://www.HealthFreedomUSA.org, a tax exempt not for profit organization and created a working group of thinkers and professionals to generate practical, unique and effective strategies for reversing the growing menace to health in Codex ALIMENTARIUS which serves it support base, pharmaceutical medicine.
Visiting African countries for a month earlier in 2006 they met with numerous members of Codex Committees and Ministers of Health as well as consumer advocates to explain the dangers and the choices available to member states. Dr. Laibow and General Stubblebine are currently on a 2 month trip to Africa and Asia to carry this work forward.
The Natural Solutions Foundation is funded entirely by donations from individuals wishing to support this vigorous and unique political and medical outreach toward the poorest and neediest nations in the world. These countries understand both the high cost of pharmaceutical medicine and cannot afford it. Further more, loosing their right to clean food because the WTO says that all food for international shipment must meet international standards which degrade the nutrient value and safety of the food available to them.
An in-depth history of Codex Alimentarius, "Nutricide: the DVD" is available on the Natural Solutions Foundation website along with a highly informative Codex eBook.
