The East Bay Business Times has honored Hannah Kain as a “Woman of Distinction in Technology.” Kain is CEO of ALOM, a Fremont-based assembly and fulfillment company.
The awards ceremony took place at Mitchell Katz Winery in Livermore, California on April 27.
“I’m honored to have been selected for this award,” said Kain, during her acceptance speech. “I believe in hiring exceptional staff to help serve our customers, and I believe in bringing out the best in each person.”
Kain shares that philosophy in her community as well. “I want every young woman who sees an opportunity to not be scared to take it,” she said.
ALOM grew from a one-person shop to 70 employees and up to several hundreds of contract workers in just a few, short years. Clients have included Sun Microsystems, the U.S. Government, Hewlett-Packard as well as many small and midsized public companies.
ALOM, a Fremont, California, based contract packaging, fulfillment and third-party logistics provider was founded in 1997. The company offers packaging services, including software and hardware assembly, media duplication, as well as inventory and third-party logistics management to its diverse customer base. ALOM also offers back-end services on the Web, offering fulfillment of online orders via its Mastershipper division.
