Leapfrog Services Inc. Achieves Two Microsoft Certifications

Atlanta's Leapfrog Services announced that it has been named by Microsoft as a Certified Small Business Specialist, and has achieved Gold Certified Partner status, with competencies in Networking Infrastructure Solutions and Advanced Infrastructure Solutions.

Leapfrog Services Inc., a provider of technology solutions and managed computer services for small businesses, announces the achievement of two additional certifications with Microsoft. In May, the company became certified as a Small Business Specialist and as a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner.

“These certifications give formal recognition to what we already knew and practiced – our expertise in the most challenging aspects of Microsoft networking: Exchange Server migration projects, Active Directory projects, Small Business Server projects, and secure infrastructure design,” said Emmett Hawkins, Chief Technology Officer of Leapfrog Services. “We are especially pleased that client case studies contributed to our Gold certification,” said Andrew Stith, Leapfrog’s president and COO. “Recognition from new clients for successful implementation of their networks validates our competency as much as recognition from Microsoft.”

As a Microsoft Certified Small Business Specialist, Leapfrog Services has been recognized by Microsoft as being qualified to design and manage computer networks and applications used by small companies and professional firms. The certification will allow Leapfrog’s staff to receive specialized training from Microsoft on its small business solutions.

Leapfrog Services earned its Gold Certified Partner status by demonstrating competency in two areas: networking infrastructure solutions and advanced infrastructure solutions. The company’s expertise in the installation of networks based on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 for small to medium size business clients allowed it to earn the Networking Infrastructure Competency. Many of these network installations and upgrades were the result of clients updating their existing installations of Windows NT and Windows 95/98.

Leapfrog also earned a competency in Advanced Infrastructure Solutions. This achievement was due to experience in the following areas:

  •     Offering security and user identification through Active Directory and identity management

  •     Providing clients with robust email and calendaring functionality through the deployment of Microsoft Exchange, and migrating POP3 email systems to the Exchange platform
  •     Developing and implementing innovative hosted applications for its clients
  •     Implementing data and document hosting solutions for its clients that ensure safe and reliable data storage
  •     Managing the information technology needs of its clients, including asset management, data backup and operating system and patch deployment

Exchange Hosted Services is an example of the IT infrastructure solutions Leapfrog offers. This new suite of managed messaging services provides filtering for spam, malware and inappropriate content; continuity services as part of a disaster recovery plan; and message encryption and archiving for those with regulatory compliance concerns. Designed for companies using Microsoft Exchange, it was developed by FrontBridge Technologies, recently acquired by Microsoft.
