Haydn Uses the Talent and Skills of DJ Rikki Rok to Boy Love the Gay Community
Promotional remix CD release for selected gay clubs with the help of DJ, Rikki Rok. Artist presents this as a gift and thank you to the gay community.
La Habra, CA (PRWEB) June 14, 2006 -- Independent and non-conformist British artist, Haydn, releases a special promotional CD for selected gay nightclubs.
Haydn teams up with rising British DJ, Rikki Rok, and creates an awesome remix CD of the Boy Serpent release, "Boy Love". This special "Promo Only" CD comprises of four great remixes that contain a mix of electro and rock club sounds plus vocal mixing of Haydn. Whilst still holding on to the unique style and sound of Haydn Rikki Rok has skilfully crafted four traditional, dance club sounds that will get anyone up and dancing.
Haydn is to offer this promotional CD to the gay community via 200 selected gay nightclubs and bars as a gift and thank you for the years of kindness and fun he has received from these establishments. The majority of nightclubs will be within the UK including such cities as Manchester, London, Cardiff, Plymouth, Bristol and Torquay. Torquay has always been a favorite spot of Haydn’s and that is why, despite its relatively small size, it has been selected by the artist. The cities that have been hinted at outside the UK are Berlin, Rome, Amsterdam and Paris.
The CD is to be a special vinyl style disc contained in a pink front and back cover. Haydn is seen portraying the famous Madonna crotch grab whilst leaning up against the wall throwing his head back in ecstasy. "Boy Love" is openly about gay love, sex and relationships. Haydn makes no attempts to hide the fact that this one track is exploring the delights of male sexuality and all its complexities.
Boy Serpent placed an ad for DJs to come forward to remix Haydn’s "Fire" album but Haydn was not too impressed with those that responded and was hoping for an American DJ as opposed to a British one. Unlike the other DJs Rikki approached Haydn directly to remix any of the artist’s songs stating that he really liked the unique style and sound and was thrilled by the prospect of such a challenge. Haydn was so impressed by the sound and style of Rikki Rok’s other remixes he decided to contact Rikki to propose a gay only CD. Haydn did inform Rikki of his intentions and what clinched the deal between the two artists was that Rikki Rok had such an impressive background. Haydn was very excited about working with someone with that background, understanding and level of talent.
Rikki Rok is a UK based DJ with a wide catalogue of remixes that he has crafted and created over the years. He currently performs in a four piece band, Zoo, and has worked with UK camp comic, Julian Clary, and producers of 1980’s UK band Bucks Fizz. Rikki has worked quite extensively over the years as far a field as the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. With plans to release US specific remix CDs this and future collaborations with Haydn will help bring Rikki’s remixing skills and talent to a far greater US audience than at present.
