National hospital emergency department management firm implements @task to better inventory and manage projects.

AtTask, Inc., a leading provider of project management software, today announced that The Schumacher Group, the nation’s fastest growing emergency medicine management firm, has implemented @task to help the company inventory and manage all projects, and enhance collaboration. The Schumacher Group is currently responsible for the clinical staffing and operation of more than 100 acute care hospital emergency departments throughout the United States.

“As an executive, it is critical for me to have a snapshot of all projects in the company, which transcends multiple offices and multiple development teams,” said Douglas Menefee, chief information officer for The Schumacher Group. “@task provides a central location for me to track all current projects, helps me to more effectively collaborate across departments and better understand available resources and workflow challenges. @task is also helping our firm migrate to departmental chargebacks for IT services provided within the company.”

@task accommodates individual working styles with customizable templates and portal dashboards, which provide quick and easy access to important information about projects and tasks. The system provides full workflow notification to project owners, dependency owners, and other designated users as status updates are made and as tasks reach completion. All communication of project status updates, new assignments, issues, and progress can be automatically or manually sent to project participants via email.

“@task is enabling all of our department heads to become individual project managers,” said Jonathan Cary, director, Project Management Office for The Schumacher Group. “The fact that @task views project management as project collaboration helps us to be more efficient, maximize our resources and encourage individual accountability. Each team member has a clear view of their roles and responsibilities, and with @task’s templates, we now have a process in place that will allow us to quickly add projects without having to recreate steps and tasks.”

“The Schumacher Group is a well-respected group of doctors and business professionals that continue to grow their business through proven processes, and unprecedented expertise and experience,” said Abe Knell, vice president of sales for AtTask. “Our project management software provides a single source of information for all of the company’s employees, which allows them to focus on their core strengths and better manage their growing number of clients and projects. With @task, The Schumacher Group can effectively manage projects from virtually anywhere in the world, allowing them to be hands-on with their clients as they help to develop systems, processes and staffing that efficiently deliver emergency care, focused on patient needs.”
