'Euro-Reviews' owner and reviewer, Eveline, is pleased to announce they have been in the review business for exactly a year this month. Since the phenomenon of book reviewing came to Eveline's attention, making the leap from reader to reviewer and site owner seemed only natural.

"I discovered that e-books are very popular in America, and after some research it became apparent that they were not being promoted to their full potential. You could say I spotted a gap in the market, as in the European crowd, (namely my home country of Belgium and the surrounding Dutch areas), where little is known about promoting ebooks via reviews to benefit publishers and readers alike."

When asked to comment on how the site is progressing, Eveline sounds enthusiastic and thrilled.

"I wanted to make Euro-Reviews a site that served a purpose. Our mission is to bring worldwide attention to both print and e-books, whilst encouraging the interest of Dutch publishers in the American review industry. It's amazing that a year later we are thriving. Although, I have to say we wouldn't be here today without the support or our readers and the reviewing skills of Annick, Chantay and Tracy-Jane who have been with me from the very beginning when the site didn't look as appealing as it does now.

Although, our name implies a European book community, and we're the only review site that writes our reviews in both English and Dutch, Holly (USA) has taken on the role of e-book co-ordinator and reviewer, and Tracy-Jane (UK) is our in-house columnist, and also writes our articles and reviews.

All the reviewers, whether full or part-time, are invaluable members of our team. Our progress is encouraging and we are going from strength to strength."

Along with regular site updates, news, and reviews, there are three major improvements to the site. Readers can now comment on books, authors can add their links and contests, and reviewers have access to the intranet where they can request titles to review, add their bios and complete all the reviewing tasks. What used to take hours to update and upload, now only takes a few minutes. Moving Eveline closer to her goal of working less and enjoying more!

"As it virtually runs itself now I can be more creative again!" says Eveline with a smile.
