Seattle, WA (PRWEB) June 15, 2006
Savers/Value Village, an international chain of thrift stores popular among the fashion-forward crowd and everyday bargain hunters, is searching for five savvy teens (14-19) throughout the US and Canada to become a part of its 2006-2007 Re-Designers board. Re-Designers will have the opportunity to show-off their unique style sense through special campaigns, including a trip to Savers headquarters in Seattle to share their fashion insights, star in a special back-to-school photo shoot, and more. Applications are now being accepted for a limited time at http://www.savers.com/redesigners/redesignersapp.html.
Ideal candidates will be hip to the fashionable thrift “scene” – whether it’s wearing vintage on a daily basis, knowing just the right way to mix and match new and used, having an eye for the unusual, or constantly reconstructing cast-off clothing into cool new styles. The selected Re-Designers will kick-off their reign with an all-expenses-paid trip to Seattle July 11-14 to shop local Value Village stores (stores are known as Value Village throughout the Pacific Northwest and Canada, and as Savers throughout the rest of the US), assemble stylish fall fashions in-line with today’s trends but with a thrift twist, and to share their insights with the Savers team to shape future fashion campaigns.
The Seattle trip will provide budding designers and thrifty trendsetters with hands-on experience in the fashion and retail industry, culminating in a back-to-school photo shoot starring the Re-Designers. Other activities throughout the year will include special online campaigns to share their fashion advice and insight to teens around world, celebrating the unique styles found through thrifting.
