Dow Corning to Present Pressure Sensitive Technology and Market Review at Intertech-Pira
Two Dow Corning Corporation Pressure Sensitive Industry experts will present a pre-conference seminar at Intertech-Pira’s Specialty & Technical Papers 2006, this July. Lori Jones, associate industry scientist, and Norm Kanar, Pressure Sensitive Industries marketing manager, will present “A Review of the Technology and Markets for Silicone Pressure Sensitive Release Coatings.” The presentation will take place at 8:30 a.m., July 11, at The Edgewater Hotel in Madison, Wis.

Lori Jones, associate industry scientist, and Norm Kanar, Pressure Sensitive Industries marketing manager, will present “A Review of the Technology and Markets for Silicone Pressure Sensitive Release Coatings.” The presentation will take place at 8:30 a.m., July 11, at The Edgewater Hotel in Madison, Wis.
Jones is the associate industry scientist at Dow Corning for the pressure sensitive adhesives industry. She has held a technical service and development role in pressure sensitive adhesives and release coatings for over 20 years. Jones authored the chapter on “Silicone Pressure Sensitive Adhesives” in Satas’ Handbook of Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Technology. In addition, she holds several patents in fluorosilicone release and other release technologies.
Kanar is the Americas Area marketing manager for both release coatings and pressure sensitive adhesives within Dow Corning’s Pressure Sensitive Industries group. He conducts market analysis to ensure that Dow Corning’s products, services and solutions align with North and South American customer and market needs.
The conference will focus on key business issues affecting specialty and technical paper producers. Conference participants will explore product mix strategies and emerging technologies for producing new paper grades and adding value to existing ones.
