NetSupport, Inc. today announced that its products placed in four categories in the 2006 eSchool News Readers' Choice Awards for Best School Network Administration Software.

The awards, which appear in the June issue of eSchool News, are presented to products in the K-20 education market and chosen by the magazine's readers. NetSupport DNA polled almost 15% of the votes in the "Best Asset Management" category, beating LANDesk, Altiris and NetOp solutions. Calling the product "unbelievably easy to install," one technology director wrote, "We installed it during our recess and had management information available by the time lessons started."

NetSupport DNA also ranked in the top 5 with eSchool news readers for "Best Automatic software distribution", with DNA receiving more votes than Microsoft SMS, Altiris Deployment server and LANDesk management suite. One reader commented that NetSupport DNA was "by far the easiest software distribution tool to get up and running."

For the category of "Best Remote Access and Control software", sister product NetSupport Manager remote control software again ranked in the top 5, beating products including Microsoft SMS, NetOp remote, VNC and Altiris Client management suite.

Not to be outdone, in the category of "Best Helpdesk Software", NetSupport DNA helpdesk, polled 14.7% of the votes, placing more popular than Track-It Helpdesk, Heat (Frontrange solutions) and NetOp.
