After the runaway success of their current line of greeting cards, and other handmade paper products, marzipan, inc. (http://www.marzipaninc.com) has recently launched a small line of pet specific cards to mark the milestones of a pet’s life and help grieve their passing.
“We realize that many people are now choosing to raise pets the way many raise their children,” said owner and designer Lori Dunbar. “We wanted to make sure that we had special cards available especially for them,” she added.
Among the new hand embellished designs are dog and cat specific birthday cards as well as dog and cat specific sympathy cards. “Unfortunately, not every pet is able to spend a lifetime with it’s owner. We understand that an owner grieves the loss of their beloved pet, and we hope our sympathy cards can help with that grieving process,” states Ms. Dunbar. The new sympathy cards feature either a dog or cat atop a cloud with a halo above their head. “It’s a very sincere card and we wanted the imagery to evoke the special meaning that these pets had to their owners.”
The birthday cards, on the other hand, are a cheerful rendition of the same dog and cat. Both are topped with party hats and also feature colorful streamers. Every special pet deserves one of these cards for their birthday.
“For many people today, the traditional drugstore card will no longer do,” says Ms. Dunbar. “That’s where our products come in.” Although all the products at marzipan inc. are competitively priced, anyone in the paper-know will tell you these cards are something special.
