Pokies Poster Competition
"How poker machines harmed me, how I quit playing poker machines, and help services available for problem gamblers and their families" are the themes being designed in a poster by the competition winner.
Melbourne, VIC (PRWEB) June 19, 2006 -- Duty of Care’s International Pokies Impact Poster Competition is free and is open to primary and high school students, adults and seniors throughout Australia and New Zealand.
The competition is an important part of the International Pokies Impact Conference (IPIC 2006) being held in Melbourne, Victoria on 18-19 September 2006.
IPIC 2006 features Tim Costello AO (CEO, World Vision and Australian of the Year 2006) as dinner host, political party leaders, aboriginal community leaders and academics/experts talking about the gaming machine problem facing Australians today.
Finalists are invited to attend the announcement of the International winner at this event.
The four Finalists will win return air travel to Melbourne staying at Eden on the Park for two days including all meals, transfers and an accompanying parent/carer and the International winner will also receive $1,000 cash for their school or selected charity.
Entries must be received by Friday 18 August 2006 to be eligible.
