Improved boutique sales for Mehera Shaw, a family-owned fashion house in Chapel Hill, NC, inspire the owners to launch a web boutique carrying the designer label clothing and jewelry.

Mehera Shaw experienced an average 38% sales increase in 2005 over 2004 and is pleased to report a continuing trend for the first quarter of 2006.

The increase in business has inspired owners, Mark and Shari Keller to introduce Mehera Shaw’s web boutique in mid June. The small, family-owned fashion house, was started in 1999 and is situated in the triangle region of NC. The Mehera Shaw line is a feminine, upmarket look with natural fibers, mainly cottons, in hand printed floral patterns. The focus is on natural beauty.

Designer and co-owner Shari Keller comments, “the increase in business that we have seen in the last year is very encouraging. It seems from customers’ responses, that we have been the great find tucked away in the Carr Mill mall in Carrboro, NC. We are developing a loyal customer base of women who appreciate fine cottons, natural fibers, and a sense of natural beauty through classically inspired styles. We are inspired by our increase in sales figures and feel we are offering what women really want: truly feminine clothing that is about natural beauty and personal expression. For the future, Mehera Shaw is working toward a collection of organic cottons.
