Smartphones Technologies and WEF Media Announce Mobile Content Agreement.

A sport known for its chokeholds, elbow punches and acrobatic takedowns is set to take the mobile world by storm. WEF Media, Inc., producers and distributors of the World Extreme Fighting (WEF) Championships, and Smartphones Technologies, Inc., announced an agreement to distribute exclusive WEF mobile content worldwide. Under the agreement, Smartphones will create and distribute a variety of exclusive WEF mobile downloads, including: video ringtones, voice ringtones, ringback tones, screensavers and wallpaper for distribution worldwide.

If you haven’t seen World Extreme Fighting yet, you will soon. WEF takes Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and combines it with “no holds barred” fighting to become what has been touted as the fastest growing sport in the world. The World Extreme Fighting Championship has long been the meeting arena for the best fighters from every part of the world. It blends a combination of fighting styles, ranging from: jujitsu, boxing, wrestling, mui thai, kick boxing, and pit fighting. WEF fights include world class fighters from Holland, England, Spain, Japan, Thailand, Mexico and the US.

Las Vegas is the home of WEF, but now your cell phone can show such greats as Dave Menne, Ricardo Nigueria, Brad Kohler, Jason Guida and Marvin “Beastman” Eastman. WEF mobile content will also include the Ring Girls, vastly described as the “cheerleaders” of WEF. For the first time in Nevada last week, two beautiful ladies battled it out in the cage, bringing a new dimension to an already exciting sport.

“The World Extreme Fighting Championship is an action packed sport that’s building an incredible following,” said Mike Merrill, CEO of Smartphones Technologies. “We’re excited to partner with WEF Media to deliver this hot new content to mobile phones.”

“The explosive growth of mobile content lets us give our fans more of what they want, delivering it straight to their mobile phone,” said Dr. Ivan Gulas, CEO of WEF Media and Executive Producer of the World Extreme Fighting Championships. “Smartphones gives us widespread distribution and leverages our brand while letting us focus on what we do well- producing great fights.”
