AIDS, what is it and why is there such a refusal to educate the youths of today on the proper precautions to stop this deadly epidemic? AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) is the predetermined destiny of an HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) infected person.
Refusal to properly educate teens and sexually active youths is damning a generation that isn’t even old enough to realize what effects their actions of today may have on tomorrow. The “Attention Is Demanded Sometimes” project's goal is to raise money to donate to organizations that will help educate and provide testing for youths that are either at risk or lack the ability to reach these resources. 15 artists have come together along with Terrelonge Recordings to create an amazing LP that drops in stores August 8th, 2006; 25% of all the proceeds will be donated to support our mission of awareness. Along with national radio play, there will be a College campus tour throughout the North East. The radio campaign and tour kick off July 1st and towards the conclusion of August respectively. Also keep an eye out and an ear tuned in because several of the artists will be featured on TV, Magazine, and Radio Interviews. Also Visit http://www.tr-msuic.com for updates on the project.
We would like to spread the word that change only takes one voice, every time you stand up and say to a partner “Let’s get tested first” you are protecting not only yourself but any one that comes into either your life or your partners life thereafter. Also, just because you’re not having sexual intercourse doesn’t mean its ok to be involved in other sexual activities without the uses of protection (condoms). Intercourse is not the only way you can get infected with AIDS or any other sexually transmitted disease for that matter. Help support the cause by making an active decision to help in your community, spread the word about awareness, buy the album and come out for the shows. Every life counts, so live yours with a cause and help save today’s generation as well as those to come.
