Hospitality Team of 400 celebrates the start of a record 2006 season

Royal American Hospitality, the areas largest homegrown condominium management company kicked off the 2006 tourist season with a team gathering and Pep Rally on May 17th at Spinnaker Beach Club. The event, used to kick off what looks to be a record year for Royal American offered the staff of over 400 the chance to mingle with one another and share the enthusiasm that has catapulted the company into the Top 100* Management Companies in the United States [* Hotel

Management List 2006].

The celebration also gave the company’s vice president, Russ Smith the chance to introduce the RAH team members to each other and show his appreciation for the hard work his team has given to the organization. “With the tremendous growth we have seen in the last 12 months, it was important to thank the staff for what they have done”, commented Mr. Smith. “The drive and determination combined with their limitless enthusiasm got us to this level and will be crucial to carry us to the next” further explained Smith.

The party kicked off with games and prizes including dinner for 2 at Captain Anderson, for each member of the winning team in a “Guess the name of the property” game in which teams were given a bag of randomly lettered t shirts and tasked with determining which of the companies properties the t-shirts spelled, all while being timed. Attendees were treated to a buffet lunch provided Spinnaker and ended the day enjoying the areas best feature, the beach with wave runners and parasailing.

Olivia Cunningham, Director of Human Resources commented “seeing our staff get the chance to relax with one another in a laid back environment is always a treat; they are all great hard working individuals that deserve to share in the successes of their co workers, but due to the seasonality of our business rarely get the chance.” Ms. Cunningham oversees the staffing of the companies 14 properties and understands better than most the need for thanking staff to help in overall retention. “Staffing is a major concern in our area and industry and being sure that we give them [our staff] the recognition they deserve while” explained Ms. Cunningham.

Royal American Hospitality manages 12 condominium rental programs and 11 Home Owners Associations in Panama City Beach as well as the hotel at the Boardwalk Beach Resort & Convention Center and the Howard Johnson Bayside, Peddlers Alley and Panama Café Restaurant; all located within Panama City/ Panama City Beach area. All properties are marketed under the umbrella name of Getaway to the Gulf Vacations (http://www.getawaytothegulf.com). Royal American is currently the only company in the Panhandle to provide complimentary daily maid service to all 1000 plus units they manage creating a unique niche for their company.RAH will be adding 4 new properties under thier umbrella within the next 18 months bringing thier inventory to almost 2000 condos and hotel rooms.
