The Women Presidents' Organization, an advocate of supplier diversity, recognized Eriksen Translations on June 9 for the significant amount of business the company does with sponsoring corporations and other certified women-owned businesses.

Eriksen Translations was recognized on Friday, June 9, at the Women Presidents’ Educational Organization’s (WPEO) Breakthrough Breakfast at The NBC Rainbow Room with second prize in the Inaugural Done Deals™ Challenge. Done Deals™ is a WPEO program that reports contracts between corporate members and certified women’s business enterprises (WBEs).

“We are proud to be recognized by an organization that promotes supplier diversity and opportunities for companies like ours. As Eriksen continues to grow, we are grateful to all of our champions, both the clients who rely on us for their multilingual needs and organizations like the WPEO who advocate for us so tirelessly," said Vigdis Eriksen, president and CEO of Eriksen.

Of the 475 Done Deals™ that were reported, Eriksen submitted 52 completed transactions with a variety of clients in government, finance, pharmaceuticals, and insurance. These companies ranged from Fortune 100 corporations to other WBEs and represented translation, editing, typesetting and copywriting in 12 of the over 100 languages Eriksen offers.

"This year we focused on encouraging the WBEs to use their business strengths and the access we provide to close the deal," said Marsha Firestone, Ph.D., the president of the WPEO. Eriksen has built long-standing relationships with all of its Done Deals™ partners and is continuing to reach out to other companies who can benefit from its 20 years of localization expertise.
