Billy the Kid, His Real Name Was ... by Jim Johnson, Allen, TX

Neither Brushy Bill nor John Miller were Billy the Kid. Billy's real name is still a mystery. Jim Johnson provides some information that could very well lead to the real identification of Billy the Kid.

(PRWEB) June 23, 2006 --These are the claimants' stories in brief.

William Henry Roberts who went by Ollie L. Roberts, Olliver P. Roberts, Brushy Bill, Texas Kid, Hugo Kid, and Kid Roberts said that he was born in Buffalo Gap, Texas. His father, J. H. Roberts went off to the Civil War and his mother Mary Adeline died in 1862. His Aunt Catherine Bonney came to Buffalo Gap and took him away to raise him, and eventually took him to Silver City, New Mexico. After escaping death, he lived in Old Mexico and Texas and died in Hico, Texas in 1950.

John Miller escaped death and married a woman by the name of Isadora in Las Vegas, New Mexico in August, 1881. He lived out his life in northwest New Mexico, and south and central Arizona and died in Prescott, Arizona in 1937.

Neither man was Billy the Kid. Jim Johnson provides proof that is backed up with appropriate documentation.

Jim's book can be viewed and purchased at his web page:

With new information provided by Jim, finding his real name is inevitable.
