Jalima Coffee was launched by Marcela along with her two partners and lifelong friends, Janet Allen and Libe Diamant. The name Jalima was derived by the first couple of letters of each partner’s name: Janet, Libe and Marcela. Jalima Coffee products are found in over 90 gourmet food markets and specialty stores throughout the northeast and in Florida. All locations are listed on the company’s website at www.jalimacoffee.com.

“At the store demonstration, consumers will be able to taste our exceptional coffees and learn more about coffee farming and production as well as the important conservation efforts going on in the specialty coffee industry.” Marcela adds. “We also instruct consumers on how to make a better cup of coffee at home. Coffee lovers are really interested in improving their brewing techniques.”

Jalima Coffee is a very mission-driven company that has partnered with various organizations to help support important ecological and social projects. The El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve is located in Chiapas, Mexico among the peaks of the Sierra Madres Mountains. This 300,000 acre reserve is considered the most pristine and diverse natural areas remaining in Mexico with varied and complex vegetation types including the two most threatened – the rain forest and the cloud forest. A portion of the sales price of Jalima Certified Organic Coffee, grown in the area surrounding the reserve, is donated to the El Triunfo Conservation Fund.

For coffee lovers and shoppers looking for quality products of all types, stop by at the Kings Super Market nearest you and enjoy a complimentary tasting of Jalima Coffee and by buying it you can also make a difference.

For consumers not in the Tri-State area, Jalima Coffee can be ordered through the Jalima Coffee website, at www.jalimacoffee.com.
