Spring Creek Lodge Academy Withdraws From World Wide Association of Specialty Programs & Schools

Spring Creek Lodge Academy, a specialty boarding school in Thompson Falls, Mont., (SCLA) today announced its withdrawal from the World Wide Association of Specialty Programs and Schools (WWASPS).

Thompson Falls, MT (PRWEB) June 23, 2006 -- Spring Creek Lodge Academy, a specialty boarding school in Thompson Falls, Mont., (SCLA) today announced its withdrawal from the World Wide Association of Specialty Programs and Schools (WWASPS).

Chaffin Pullan, Assistant Director of SCLA, referred to the school’s association with WWASPS as “a positive relationship that initially provided us with a very supportive network.” However, Pullan explained that SCLA has evolved into a unique and independent program. He does not foresee any significant changes in the school’s day-to-day operations as a result of the split.

“Since our vision has gradually changed and SCLA already looks so different from other WWASPS schools, the next logical step is to acknowledge those differences and move on,” said Pullan.

Pullan noted that WWASPS had received significant media scrutiny over the years, which has not helped SCLA’s reputation. However, he affirmed that this was not the primary reason for leaving the organization. “It’s a question of what we are now able to provide our students and families on our own as opposed to what we’ve done in the past with WWASPS’s help,” says Pullan.

WWASPS is an affiliation of (now) four specialty boarding schools located in the United States and Jamaica. It is headquartered in St. George, Utah.

Abuse continues at Spring Creek Lodge from SCL is Doomed on Aug 15, 2006   Preview Open
August 12, 2006 Spring Creek Lodge, a well known and highly unethical for-profit "treatment center" for young boys and girls with various "problems", has tried, unsuccessfully, to disassociates itself with the highly abusive World Wide Association of Specialty Programs and Schools. Of course this is nothing more than a token media ploy while the horrendous abuse and torture continue, as is the case with most "behavior modification" facilities.
