Polaris Marketing Research announced today that George Van Eron, an experienced I.T. professional, has joined the company as an Operations Process and Quality Manager. In this role, he will further advance the firm’s capacity to deliver state-of-the-art marketing research reports to its clients.
Specifically, Van Eron will be responsible for assisting in the implementation of a new quality management system, as well as performing regular quality audits for Polaris. Additionally, he will create and maintain a new set of quality-driven, standardized as well as customized processes used by the marketing research firm’s analytics department. In cases where the resulting solution requires I.T. to support the newly designed process, Van Eron will not only design, but may also build the solution using a combination of SQL Server 2000, VB and ASP.NET, and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.
Prior to joining Polaris, Van Eron worked as a designer/programmer for Compco as well as a developer and project manager for SurfMerchants. While a student at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, he served a designer/programmer internship at Neural Network Group. He was a programmer/junior database administrator at EGLEAN in Boston and worked in technical support for Intelecom Data Systems and as a computer technician at PC Warehouse, both in Warwick, R.I. Van Eron earned a bachelor of science degree in computer science at Wentworth.
