Minit Drugs in Calgary, Alberta, Canada earn re-accreditation by IMPAC™, Inc. Minit Drugs and its websites were found to be in full compliance with the 89 international quality and safety standards for the second time. Their IMPAC Accreditation is now continued through March, 2008.

Commitment and dedication to high quality patient care were the reasons that Minit Drug decided to apply for IMPAC™ re-accreditation. The process for re-accreditation is the same as the accreditation process, including a two day, on-site survey by a pharmacist surveyor and an administrative surveyor. “While the standards remain consistent, we do expect to see an increasing sophistication in the quality assurance and performance improvement practices,” states Jennifer Fels, Executive Officer for Standards and Surveys at IMPAC™. The accreditation process does not get easier the second time around.
