LS Networks made its debut as No. 25 on the Portland Business Journals list of fastest growing technology companies in the state of Oregon. LS Networks revenue is forecasted to grow more than 115% between 2005 and 2006. The Portland Business Journal ranks both public and private technology companies in the May 12th 2006 report.

“I’m very pleased to see the growth of our firm publicly recognized. We are continuing to expand our network footprint and delivery state-of-the-art services to more and more rural communities within Oregon and Washington” said Michael Weidman, president and CEO of LS Networks. “The LS Networks team and I are very rewarded by bringing leading-edge technology to previously broad-band challenged communities” Weidman said.

Earlier this month, LS Networks announced the completion of yet another segment of Fiber Optic network, bringing the companies total fiber miles to 2,250 miles.

Lightspeed Networks, Inc. (dba LS Networks) was incorporated in March of 2005. Its principal investors include: Central Electric Cooperative, Umatilla Electric Cooperative/Rural Service Company, West Oregon Electric Cooperative, Coquille Economic Development Corporation, Douglas Electric Cooperative, and Hood River Electric Cooperative.
