Women Leave Paper, Love eBallot

General Federation of Womens Clubs move to computer voting.

Bellevue, WA (PRWEB) June 29, 2006 -- The General Federation of Womens Clubs (GFWC) had voted using paper ballots in every election over their illustrious 115 year history. That all changed this month when The Election Trust provided GFWC with online computer voting at their annual convention in Denver, CO.

“We usually rent government voting machines to do our convention balloting but a local election had that equipment tied up. Fortunately The Election Trust was able to provide us with an eBallot solution that worked beyond our expectations”, said Marlene Wine, GFWC’s Elections Committee Chairwoman.

She concluded, “We not only were spared the immense effort of counting paper ballots at the end of a long day but virtually every one of our voters was impressed at the ease and efficiency of eBalloting.”

John Bodin, Managing Partner of The Election TRUST, was also impressed with the acceptance of online voting by GFWC voters. “Those members who were at first apprehensive about computer voting ultimately left saying they looked forward to voting online again next election. That’s what we love to hear: an election should produce satisfied voters!”
