dearjohnnies was honored to be featured at “The Boom Boom Room,” a daylong gifting suite for MTV award nominees, presenters and Hot Mom and Dads of Television, Movies and Music in Hollywood. The event was held at the Park Hyatt in Century City and a portion of its sponsorship benefited the Jenesse Shelter for abused women and children in Los Angeles.
The suites were bustling with Hollywood’s hottest celebs, including many moms and their tots. Attendees loved dearjohnnies and stars like ER’s Ming-Na, Desperate Housewives’ Joely Fisher, Dancing With the Stars’ Samantha Harris and Samantha Joan Hart picked up gowns to give as gifts to expecting friends and family. Nicole Ari Parker and Fred Savage’s wife Jennifer got dearjohnnies for themselves -- both are due in the coming months! The Boom Boom Room, which celebrated the MTV Movie Awards, was hosted by stylist Jayneoni, the hottest fashion insider in Hollywood. Editors trust and rely on her expert opinion and she has regularly appeared on MTV, VH1’s the Fabulous Life of Celebrity Kids, Entertainment Tonight/The Insider, MSNBC Hot List, and CNN.
Asked how she learned about dearjohnnies, Jayneoni said, “I wanted to include some new and unique products at the event. A friend of mine [working for a national magazine] mentioned dearjohnnies. I love your product and have never seen anything like it out there.”
dearjohnnies offers expecting moms whimsical and stylish hospital gowns for their labor and delivery. The gowns embody the idea that having a baby is an extraordinary experience and moms deserve to wear something better than an ordinary hospital gown. They photograph well, fit better than the standard issue hospital gown (even covering everything in back) and can be personalized.
“I started dearjohnnies about a year ago just after I had my second daughter and business has been phenomenal,” says dearjohnnies founder and president Rachel Zinny. “I was recently featured in Bundle magazine and Fit Pregnancy. I get orders from all over the country and customers consistently tell me how much they love my gowns and that they’ve never seen anything like them. They’re fun, they make women feel and look better and they’re the latest must-buy shower gifts.”
dearjohnnies are available online and in selected stores across the country. The gowns come in four patterns and two sizes and can be monogrammed. They can be worn during labor, in the days after recovery and at home during the weeks to follow.
