MINNEAPOLIS, MINN (PRWEB) June 30, 2006
Internet Broadcasting, the largest national platform of TV station web sites, today announced the promotion of Reed Varner to national advertising partner director from his previous position as director of local sales operations. The announcement was made by Paul Bremer, executive vice president of sales for Internet Broadcasting, which publishes 79 TV station web sites for America’s premier broadcasters: NBC, Cox Broadcasting, Hearst-Argyle, The McGraw Hill Companies, Post-Newsweek, Meredith Broadcasting, Scripps Howard, and Capitol Broadcasting Company.
In his new role, Varner will oversee the daily operations of the company’s national advertising sales including the development and execution of sponsorship packages, online and TV/Web convergent media campaigns, inventory and revenue management as well as managing client relationships. Varner will serve as a liaison between the national sales team – with account executives in New York, Chicago, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, and San Francisco – and Internet Broadcasting’s corporate headquarters in Minneapolis.
“Reed was not only successful in overseeing our 10,000 yearly local advertising campaigns, but also the flawless execution of media campaigns for NBCOlympics.com (which was co-produced by Internet Broadcasting),” said Bremer. “We’re building on our leadership position in offering national advertisers innovative products including unique sponsorship opportunities and TV/Web convergence packages. Reed’s experience in developing and implementing campaigns for these products allows us to replicate our success for our fast-growing national sales initiatives.”
Varner has spent five of his seven years with Internet Broadcasting in sales operations. Before joining the company, Varner worked in media relations for the Minnesota Twins. He has a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Iowa.
