(PRWEB) July 4, 2006 -- It seems Matt Heart (Lead Singer of "Purpose") has recently turned activist, when he appeared with Michael Jackson's lead defense attorney Thomas A. Mesereau Jr. and Minister Tony Mohammad at the 2006 Woman of Watts March against gang violence. Matt Heart being an Ex-Gang affiliate himself talked of the importance of supporting the cause. Mr. Measereau, Heart, and Mr. Mohammad Lead a pack of over 200 hundred caring Mothers, Fathers, Sisters and Brothers, directly through the Watts neighborhood and complexs shouting " Cease Fire, Increase the peace' and Stop the violence".
Afterwards, Hamburgers, hotdogs, and punch were served followed by lectures given by various leaders in the community.
"This is Great community gathering that needs to be experienced to enjoy. It shows you that when we all get together as people black, brown or white, we can accomplish anything with one goal in mind, to save our children. I encourage everyone to get involved," said Matt.
