Maggie Moo Rides the Rails

Passengers will have the opportunity to meet Maggie Moo and enjoy free ice cream while relaxing on a round trip train excursion between Ringoes and Flemington, NJ.

Flemington, NJ (PRWEB) July 28, 2006 -- Passengers on Black River & Western Railroad (BRW) trains can cool off on the weekend of July 29-30, 2006, when the Black River Railroad Historical Trust (BRRHT) will be introducing a new event in partnership with Maggie Moo’s Ice Cream & Treatery. This one-weekend-only event will feature free samples of premium Maggie Moo ice cream with the purchase of BRW train tickets, and the opportunity to meet Maggie Moo herself while enjoying a scenic train ride between Flemington and Ringoes, NJ.

While supplies last, each group purchasing BRW train tickets during the event will receive one free Maggie Moo ice cream. Ice cream will also be available for sale; each ice cream sold will come with a coupon redeemeable for one free child’s train ticket during a return visit to the railroad (coupon not valid on July 29 or July 30, 2006). Maggie Moo will be riding the trains and roaming the stations to meet passengers and pose for photos.

On July 29-30 round-trip trains depart Flemington Station at 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. Train tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis at Ringoes and Flemington train stations. Ticket prices are $5 per child and $10 per adult. Children under the age of three ride all trains free of charge. Each group (minimum purchase of two tickets) will receive a coupon for one free ice cream. Ice cream will be available outside Flemington Station on the passenger platform. Supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first come first serve basis.

Based in Columbia, MD, Maggie Moo’s currently operates more than 172 Treateries across the nation. In addition to ice cream cupcakes, each location features a menu of freshly made premium ice creams, mix-ins, smoothies and custom ice cream cakes. Maggie Moo’s chocolate, dark chocolate, vanilla, vanilla bean and strawberry ice cream flavors all have been awarded The National Ice Cream Retailers Association’s prestigious Blue Ribbon Award, for taste, texture and overall appearance for eight years running.
