Toledo, Ohio Mayor Carty Finkbiener Honors Matt Heart and John Davis of the band "purpose" with a Proclamation letter award for their outstanding work in the community. This is the first time in the citys history that a band has received such and honor."Purpose" Released "Eve of Temptation" on the lable 424 Records. They give 10% of all cd sales to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and another 10% to Americas Most Wanted.

(PRWEB) July 4, 2006 -- Toledo, Ohio Mayor Carty Finkbiener Honors Matt heart and John Davis of the band "Purpose" with a "Proclamation" letter award for their Outstanding work in the community. This is the first time in the city's history that a band has received such and honor.

"Purpose" Released "Eve of Temptation" on 424 Record's label. They give 10% of all CD sales to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and another 10% to Americas Most Wanted, for information leading to the arrest and conviction of someone involved in a child abduction. Matt Heart wrote the lyrics for the song entitled "Mary's Lament" which is a true story of a girl that Heart knew personally whom was kidnapped and murdered. The duo also shot a video for the song, they claim the photos and footage in the video are of missing children.

"If someone watches our video and recognizes a child in it we encourage them to call the crime tv number provided at the the end of the feature" Matt says. Purpose's Music is a smooth blend of Country, Soul and Rock. "My wife calls it R&R which means RHYTHM & ROCK" Heart added. Keep and eye out for Purpose. Their CD is #1 on the Independant music charts and they have 2 songs in the top 25 countdown for Independant music. They are also a featured artist on Kind Industries and have over 7000 plays on Tagword. Their #1 hit song "Coming Home" can also be downloaded as a ringtone. The band has currently moved to Los Angeles, California to push the new CD.
