GuardianBox, the internet connectivity solution from Bridge Broadband Services has recently been evaluated by Hughes Europe to assess its potential for its inclusion into the Hughes Europe portfolio to complement existing offerings.

Its most recent Channel Focus newsletter gave the following endorsement ‘We found GuardianBox helped to improve the perceived browsing performance when several users were active at the same time whilst offering similar benefits for downloading and general e-mail use’.

Guardianbox’s own evidence of Hughes sites in Europe and the Middle East shows that a Guardianbox allows customers to make better use of the connection, supporting services such as VOIP to allow users the opportunity to capitalise fully on the Hughes connection.

“From our perspective this is very good news,” says Keith Fergie, general manager of Bridge Broadband Services. “It’s recognition of both the work we’ve done with some high profile Hughes’ customers in the past and our vision to manage Internet connections more effectively. Clearly working with the global leader in broadband satellite network solutions and services is a fantastic opportunity for us.”

In the past couple of months GuardianBox received a number of positive reviews from independent reviewers such as PC Pro and Trusted Reviews for its role in managing ADSL Internet connections.

“Irrespective of how broadband is delivered the biggest issue faced by consumers and businesses alike is managing the connection itself. Accountable and controllable Internet access that’s free from viruses, spam and the risk of identity theft are the issues that are driving GuardianBox’s success, adds Fergie.

About Bridge Broadband services:

Bridge Broadband Services was formed in 1998, initially to provide high-speed broadband services for more remote areas using satellite technology. This has seen the company develop business both locally and internationally meeting the need for secure satellite based high-speed networks in challenging and remote environments. A high profile success was with the Mobile Online Learning Initiative (MOLI) a training classroom in a coach that has travelled all over Scotland since 2003 hosting over 2000 people on the satellite broadband driven workstations. In 2004 the company launched the first version of its GuardianBox, offering secure broadband connectivity for home users and small businesses, and has recently licensed GuardianBox technology to Guatemalan based Red Technologies for distribution in Latin America.
