Pasadena Criminal and Family Law Firm Experiencing Rapid Growth
The Law Offices of Donald P. Schweitzer, a local Pasadena criminal and family law firm, is picking up speed. Additions to the legal team are being made at a significant rate.
Pasadena, CA (PRWEB) July 1, 2006 -- The Law Offices of Donald P. Schweitzer, a local Pasadena criminal and family law firm, is picking up speed. Additions to the legal team are being made at a significant rate.
Mr. Schweitzer opened the Law Offices of Donald P. Schweitzer in March 2003. Prior to the opening of his practice, he served as a Deputy District Attorney for the County of Orange for 8 years, and was also employed by a family law firm in Norwalk for 1½ years. In August 2003, Mr. Schweitzer hired his first employee, Cathy Padilla.
Cathy Padilla is a certified paralegal at the Law Offices of Donald P. Schweitzer. She attended Biola University as an undergraduate and received her paralegal certification from Cerritos College. Previous to her legal experience, Cathy worked as a teller and customer representative at Washington Mutual Bank and Cal Fed Bank. She began her career in law in 2001, working as a legal assistant at a local firm. Cathy functions as a Spanish-translator at our offices.
In January of 2004, Mr. Schweitzer’s wife, Maria Schweitzer, joined the firm as the Office and Business Development Manager. Maria graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in economics. She spent eight years in the insurance industry and another eight years in the medical device industry.
In March of 2004, Andy Rossi began his employment with the Law Offices of Donald P. Schweitzer, working as a dedicated paralegal. Mr. Rossi attended Illinois State University, graduating in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts in public relations. Andy has worked as a television reporter, a high school substitute teacher and an office administrator for an electrical company in Chicago.
Maria’s role in managing the firm proved to be a daunting task given the growth of the client base. In the summer of 2005, she hired an administrative assistant, Brenna Stearns, a student from Vanderbilt University interested in pursuing a career in family law. Ms. Stearns was welcomed to the legal team primarily to aid in the daily management and development of the firm. Her presence led to a boost in marketing and also an office relocation. In August of 2005, she went back to school and her position was filled by Yajhaira Rodriguez.
Ms. Rodriguez attended Pasadena City College and obtained her Paralegal certificate this June. Yajhaira plans to attend California State University of Los Angeles to obtain her Bachelors of Science in business administration.
In October of 2005, Kayla Boucher became the first associate attorney at the firm. Ms. Boucher attended Santa Clara University and graduated summa cum laude, receiving her bachelor of arts in English literature in June of 2002. Following graduation, Ms. Boucher worked as a behavioral technician at a private school for autistic children in Sacramento. Kayla attended Southwestern University School of Law and in November of 2005, she became a member of the California State Bar.
The summer of 2006 has been an incredibly demanding time for the Law Offices of Donald P. Schweitzer. As a direct result, new employees have been added to the already strong legal team. Megan Magallenes was welcomed in May as a receptionist and just several weeks later, Brenna Stearns returned from college and was rehired.
The office eagerly anticipates the arrival of Tony Fricano, who will begin his employment with the Law Offices of Donald P. Schweitzer in August of this year. He recently graduated from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and is currently spending his time studying for the bar exam. After completing his exam, he will begin working as a law clerk at the firm until his bar results are revealed.
In three very short years, the Law Offices of Donald P. Schweitzer have grown from 0 to 8 employees and from 400 square feet of office space to approximately 2,600 square feet of space. Their business continues to grow at a rapid rate. It is most likely that this growth is a direct result of their commitment to excellence and their belief in a strong attorney-client relationship.
