Baffle Gab, Inc., maker of the award-winning game Baffle Gab™, announced today that it has successfully secured its first round of financing and has completed its executive team with an impressive array of management talent. Baffle Gab is a story telling game targeted towards children and families. The game has already garnered nine industry awards from various parenting and educational organization, including Top Classroom Game of the Year by Creative Child Magazine and Best Toy of the Year from the Parent to Parent Foundation.

Leading the company as CEO is accomplished entrepreneur Craig Olson. Olson began his business career in investment banking but was determined to become an entrepreneur. He co-founded NFL Exclusive, The Official Magazine of NFL Season Ticket Holders, and later, College Exclusive. College Exclusive eventually became part of Rivals.com, a company Olson co-founded in 1999. Rivals continues to be a leading Internet site for college athletics. Olson also assisted with the founding of numerous other technology and Internet related concerns, most recently Wetpaint.com. He holds a BA from University of Washington and an MA from Harvard University.
Robert Butterworth was named Chief Technology Officer of the company. Butterworth joined Baffle Gab in May 2006 as the contract CTO, and remains a partner in Zenwerks, a firm he founded in 2000. His main role within the company is the development and management of the company’s web site and web based applications. Butterworth’s work includes building the online framing/matting utility for art.com (later purchased by Getty Images) as well as developing and building Seattlelist.com and the Emit legal network, including CompleteCase.com. Butterworth holds a BA from the University of Colorado.
Rich Schmidtke joined Baffle Gab in April 2006 and serves as a contract CFO, while remaining a partner in Schmidtke Bacon LLP. His main role is the oversight of all financial operations, as well as cash flow, operations, and revenue projections. He also helped organize the inventory and fulfillment tracking system. Schmidtke has been practicing public accounting for nearly 25 years, and his client list includes corporate entities of all kinds as well as wealthy individuals.
Baffle Gab also announced that it has secured the services of Seattle-based 206 Partners for marketing and public relations services. Agency co-founders Kerry Murphy and Mark Dyce lead the account. Their main role within the company is identifying, presenting, and, if chosen, managing marketing and branding opportunities as well as co-promotions and strategic partnerships.
