Mother's Words Inspire a Book
Award-winner author and freelancer, Billie A. Williams, chosen as July Guerrilla Marketers Café featured author.
(PRWEB) July 2, 2006 -- Who said that mother’s words go unheard? Today great distances separate the extended family and parents as well as grandparents don’t get to see their children more than two or three times a year unlike the weekly visits of twenty or thirty years ago. But parents can make the most of it by telling stories to their kids and grandkids, no matter the age. That’s what happened to Billie A. Williams when she went to take care of her terminally ill mother and she told her a story about her grandfather. Those words captured in Billie’s creative mind became the beginning of a story for preteens called "Watch for the Raven." Unfortunately, Billie’s mother didn’t live long enough to see the book published but new generations will cherish her immortalized words.
Billie A. Williams is Guerrilla Marketers’ Café new Featured Author and she is no stranger to such recognitions. With eleven published books and nine more under contract, Billie writes fiction, nonfiction and poetry. "Watch for the Raven" is just one of her most popular books for young and adult people alike. “I wanted to feature an author with a book which would inspire readers in a positive way. I think I chose the right one, "Watch for the Raven" deals with the effects of anger in people’s life,” said Clary Lopez, founder of Guerrilla Marketers’ Café. “My hope is that many families will buy a copy to read it over the summer. This book is a rare gem with a worthwhile message on how to deal with powerful emotions.”
To read Billie’s interview please visit Guerrilla Marketers’ Café website and register to win one of three autographed copies of her books; Watch for the Raven, Bed & Breakfast or Pink Lady Slipper. Three lucky winners will be selected on August 31, 2006. (Winners outside the U.S. will choose from the download version of the book instead)
