Companies Seek Outsourcing to Deal With Web 2.0
Companies are seeking outsourcing to deal with Web 2.0, the new version of the world wide web, but they are having difficulty finding reliable developers.
(PRWEB) July 4, 2006 -- Many American and European companies are turning to outsourcing. Because of the technology bubble of the last century, many executives concluded that technology changes too rapidly for them to keep up. Traditionally, outsourcing has been used to reduce costs via cheaper overseas labor, but many companies are now outsourcing domestically to cope with changing technologies.
In particular, companies have been trying to cope with "Web 2.0": it's a mix of powerful technologies that can make web interfaces easier to use and quicker to update. According to it's supporters, you can use Web 2.0 to make virtually any site better. It's opponents, however, claim that Web 2.0 is just another fad, and does not deserve the current media attention.
Why the rush to outsource Web 2.0? "Many companies are finding their technology staff can't cope," said David Berube of BerubeConsulting.com, "They turn to a consulting firm. Unfortunately, small businesses are scammed every day by internet software companies," contiues David Berube, a technology consultant and software developer. "And, even honest companies take on jobs they aren't qualified for. " Large companies have IT departments that handle software development in-house, but smaller companies often can't afford a software development team, and so save money by outsourcing. "If you aren't careful, you could lose everything you spend on software," says Berube. Internet Fraud Watch (fraud.org) seems to agree; according to one of their reports, the average loss from Internet fraud has risen from $895 in 2005 to $2,033 in 2005.
