FLAVORx Reports Record Growth for 2005 Fiscal Year and Exceeds Industry Expectations

Having just passed a 10 year anniversary, FLAVORx is proud to report astronomical growth and outreach during the past year. The privately-held company has attained levels of success beyond imagination.

Company representatives report FLAVORx will show record numbers this year in revenue, associated pharmacies, physician and pharmacist outreach and website hits. Since its inception in late 1995 as a one store family pharmacy flavoring just a handful of medications per day, the company has grown to become a nationwide phenomenon having now flavored over 50 million prescriptions without any complication or changes in a medication’s efficacy or even an allergy. In addition, with such unprecedented success, the company has furthered its expansion into Canada and Australia and is currently in talks with large pharmacy chains in the United Kingdom.

According to President and CEO Kenny Kramm, “It’s been a phenomenal year for us. FLAVORx welcomed the addition of two chain retail giants this year. Both CVS and Wal-Mart made decisions to include the FLAVORx system in all its pharmacies and its everyday services for pharmacy patients. Working with these successful retailers has jumped the number of pharmacies offering FLAVORx up by nearly 8,000 pharmacies, further adding credibility to the company name and making it easier for customers to locate pharmacies that offer the FLAVORx service. Adding the FLAVORx system to the pharmacy repertoire has allowed pharmacies to continue to further advance their commitment to compliance and patient care programs. The company now boasts nearly 35,000 independent and chain pharmacies nationwide including Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Rite-Aid, Target, Giant/Eagle, Kmart, Longs, Safeway and Albertsons. In fact FLAVORx is in almost 1 out of every 2 drugstores in the country.

The company introduced its “doctor-detailing” program a few years ago in an effort to educate doctors and nurses on the FLAVORx system. A productive 2005 has now jumped the total number of visited doctors to nearly 60,000 nationwide. The doctor detailing team supplies information to doctors, nurses and all staff on the safety and efficacy of flavoring medications with FLAVORx, as well as the importance of medicinal compliance towards wellness and preventing the occurrence of persistent symptoms and the further spread of infection. In addition, doctor detailers provide educational materials, as well as prescription pads and stickers as time-savers for the physicians and nurses as they educate and recommend FLAVORx for their patients.

Since its start as a homemade website http://www.flavorx.com with just a few hits per day, FLAVORx has since professionally-designed and optimized its website for parents, physicians, pharmacists and hospitals. The website serves as a resource on flavoring and taste and in the past year added an interactive chat service that enables visitors to communicate with a FLAVORx representative easily and immediately. Many of the FLAVORx employees are online ready to answer questions -- in fact, CEO Kenny Kramm and CFO Woodie Neiss have been known to answer many of the incoming questions personally. Though the company has grown at a rapid rate, even the company’s top executives still make it a top priority to be personally attentive to the needs of customers, healthcare practitioners and pharmacy partners. With the website at around 80,000 hits per month last year, the company is happy to report that interest is quickly spreading, with nearly 2 million website hits during the month of May. Numbers like these have brought thousands upon thousands of unique visitors to the site daily.    

The company’s commitment to safety and wellness has fostered its success abroad, with nearly 1 in 3 pharmacies in Canada offering the FLAVORx service, as well as an increasing presence in Australia. In addition, continued talks with retailers in the United Kingdom predict FLAVORx will be available in Europe soon.
