8th Annual National Black Gloves Tournament

Boxing Tournament in Lancaster, TX featuring 100-150 national and international boxers competing to be seen and a spot in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China. The Oak Cliff Boxing Club and owner Coach Greg Hatley is so well known for its work that a documentary is in production chronicling the path to the Olympics.

Lancaster, TX (PRWEB) July 8, 2006

Come see 100-150 boxers trying to garner attention for a place in the 2008 Olympic team in Beijeng, China. Boxers from Kronk Boxing Gym, Detroit Michigan. Hopefuls include: Oxell Nelson, Jermaine Taylor and World Champions from California, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Lousiana, Mississippi, Texas and St. Louis.

The tournament is expected to attract over 5000 spectators from around the country including 5 times World Champion Evander Holyfield, Former World Champion Curtis Cokes and 2004 Gold Medalist Andre Ward. The ticket sales will help support the Oak Cliff Boxing Club Fund. Ringside magazine calls Greg Hatley, the founder of Oak Cliff Boxing Club, “the magician coach.” Hatley is the primary founder and has coached four national champions and two times international champion Charles Hatley, which led to a documentary chronicling the road to the Olympics.

The boxers will be available for autographs and pictures after the bouts.
