Cart Wheels announces the launch of its specialty wheel covers at the upcoming September 2006 PGA Expo in Las Vegas. Cart Wheels is a subsidiary of Static Media Group, a Roswell, Georgia-based product development, manufacturing and marketing firm.

Under the direction of president and patent attorney, T.J. DoVale, the Cart Wheels team has commercialized a patent-pending, nonspinning wheel assembly that will display advertising or tournament sponsorship images over the rims of golf cart wheels. The unique technology holds the desired image in an upright position, even while the golf cart is in motion. The product represents a new medium for advertising on golf carts as well as a new tournament sponsorship opportunity.

With the creation of the Cart Wheels market group, DoVale and team began researching and developing product applications for the golf industry. According to Director of Sales, Neil Johnson, the pre-launch response has been nothing less than enthusiastic and has helped secure them an invitation to feature their products at the PGA Fall Expo Golf Tournament. “We have taken the concept to various people and businesses in the golfing community and have been very pleased with the feedback,” said Johnson. “Directors of golf operations, head golf professionals, golf course advertising companies and tournament operators… they have all had the same response: what a great idea!”

In addition to their tradeshow presence, Cart Wheels will be outfitting all 72 golf carts for the PGA Expo Golf Tournament to be held at the Bali Hai Golf Club on September 12th. Cart Wheels will be demonstrating its value proposition of two distinct revenue opportunities. As a sponsorship tool, tournament operators can sell customized wheel covers, providing a mobile billboard by which sponsors can reach event participants and spectators. The second opportunity for the golf product is as a new medium for ongoing brand display for advertisers interested in expanding their influence to the highly desirable golfing consumer.

Static Media Group and Cart Wheels are working to secure strategic partnerships to enhance both sourcing possibilities and product visibility worldwide. Andy Yocum, owner of Invision Golf, a golf course advertising company, is excited about the growth potential he sees in his own business due to the emergence of Cart Wheels: “We will incorporate this into our product offering immediately.” And Custom Carts of Sarasota, the supplier of golf carts to Walt Disney World Orlando, agrees that “the possibilities are tremendous… tournament sponsorships, advertising and product promotions.”
